You Should Have Had An Attorney

These are the worst words that I hate to tell a client. I really dislike having to say that to someone who went to their own trial and are now devastated. They cry because none of their exhibits got into evidence and that the Judge would not listen to them. They are upset because the judge was angry because they had no pre-trial statement and no green sheets between the exhibits. And there was some discussion about you not having followed prior court orders and you didn’t have something called an AFI. And you are now paying a huge amount of child support and you are not going to see much of your kids, and you lost your home. Wow. Could all this really happen…just because I don’t know what I’m doing and I didn’t know the rules? Yes, absolutely. Happens every day, don’t let it happen to you.
