Hunkapi Farm Sunglass Drive For Foster Kids
A special event held on Christmas Day ensured more than 70 kids in need didn’t miss out on the magic of the holiday. We provided sunglasses from Goodr for all foster kids that participated. Orphans, foster kids and domestic violence survivors spent the day on the Hunkapi Farm in Scottsdale.

Navajo Nation Medical and 1st Responder Assistance
The Best Law firm has made a donation to the Navajo Nation Medical and 1st Responder Assistance. “The Navajo Nation now ranks third in the country per capita for COVID-19 infections, behind only New Jersey and New York. This is a rate 7 times higher than that of the rest of Arizona’s population.” 100% of the donations go to help first responders and get them the supplies they need. The Best Law firm has donated to the The Australian Koala Foundation (AKF), the principal nonprofit, non-government organization dedicated to the effective management and conservation of the Koala and its habitat. Telluride Film Festival
Cindy attended the Telluride Film Festival this year and part of her ticket purchase went to the National Film Preserve, Ltd., a nonprofit arts and educational organization. Not only did she get to get to see amazing films, meet inspiring artists but she also helped out a great cause!

2019 & 2018 The Theatre Lab
The Best Law Firm is proud to donate in 2018 and again in 2019 to the Dena Kohn Memorial Scholarship Fund. The Kohn family are friends of attorneys within our firm. This fund makes it possible to provide full scholarships for deserving students to attend The Theatre Lab which is Washington, D.C.’s largest and most comprehensive independent, nonprofit school for the dramatic arts. Their mission is to transform lives through theatre. They work to make the real-life benefits of theatre training accessible to all regardless of age, income, or experience level. We are pleased to be part of such an effort to help young people.
Desert Foothills Food Bank Luncheon
Best Law Firm contributed to the fundraiser at Mirabel Golf Club for Desert Foothills Food Bank. This luncheon fully funds the weekend snack pack for the children of the Desert Hills Food Bank. Last year they were able to raise funds for 4,500 snack packs!

A Day of Giving
Today, August 31, 2017, Disney and ABC are raising money for the victims who have suffered extreme losses over the past week because of Hurricane Harvey. Disney and ABC have committed to donate 1 million dollars to the Red Cross for relief and recovery efforts for the communities affect by Hurricane Harvey. “Our hearts go out to everyone in the devastating path of this historic storm,” said Robert A. Iger, chairman and chief executive officer, The Walt Disney Company. “It’s hard to fully appreciate the impact, in part because it isn’t over yet. But we know thousands of people have lost everything and now face the daunting challenge of putting their lives and communities back together, and we’re using our unique resources and reach to help those in need.”
The American Red Cross is helping the victims of Harvey which is expected to be the most expensive natural disaster in American history. Best Law has made a donation to the American Red Cross.

St. Vincent De Paul Pizza For The Homeless
The team at Best Law Firm volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul last week at their pizza making event. St. Vincent De Paul makes over 150 pizzas every Friday for guests in the family dining room. They had a rolling dough station, a topping station and a slicing and boxing station. Flour and toppings were flying everywhere and the clean up was intense. It was a great bonding experience and we are looking forward to volunteering more this year.
St. Vincent De Paul has many volunteer opportunities. The areas of highest need include: the Dream Center, Family Evening Meal, Phoenix Dining Room, Kitchen Meal Prep and Citrus Harvesting.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Arizona
The Best Law Firm made a charitable donation to Saint Vincent De Paul for the holidays. We enjoy volunteering in the Urban Farm and look forward to feeding the homeless this month. St. Vincent de Paul encourages everyone to get out and help those in need, whether it’s donating their time by helping out in the Urban garden, or the St. Vincent de Paul’s kitchen and dining hall, or donating money, food, clothing etc. Let’s all get out there and do some good this year!
2016 & 2017 Harold’s Charity Golf Tournament
This is an amazing event that helps benefit two excellent programs that support children with disabilities & special health care needs! They provide the healing power of laughter to thousands of seriously ill children & adults by giving them the opportunity to experience different programs such as horsemanship, outdoor education, fishing, crafts, music, archery and more! Through these programs they learn and develop self worth, independence, active participation in a community and most importantly discovering that they can do more then they thought was possible!
Proceeds go to Camp Soaring Eagle & Camelot therapeutic horsemanship.
Delta Dental’s Golf4Smiles Tournament
Attorneys at Best Law Firm helped organize Delta Dental’s Golf4Smiles Tournament by gathering donations and sponsors. The tournament raised $80,000 in proceeds that will benefit thousands of children through oral health care programs in Arizona. Best Law Firm sponsored as well as played in the tournament.
Mel Blount Youth Home Charity Golf Tournament
The Best Law Firm is a proud supporter of the Mel Blount Youth Home Charity Golf Tournament. The Mel Blount Home was founded by NFL player Mel Blount. The Youth Home was created to help youth develop mentally, physically and morally while teaching them to become productive citizens in society. Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights
This morning, June 20th 2018, the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights announced that the Clooney Foundation for Justice donated $100,000 to their organization today. “The Young Center is a human rights organization that advocates for the rights and best interests of unaccompanied immigrant children. The organization serves as a trusted ally for these children while they are in deportation proceedings, advocating for their best interests, and standing for the creation of a dedicated children’s immigrant justice system that ensures the safety and well-being of every child. The Young Center is on the frontlines of responding to the current family separation crisis taking place at the United States border.”
It’s important that we act and support the best interest of the children who have been separated from their families. Best Law Firm has made a donation to the Young Center to help those children while they are detained and let them know they are not alone. The Young Center has Child Advocates who fight for the rights and best interests of children who are on their own, to make sure they are reunited with their mothers and fathers. ASU Family Law Pro Bono Night September 19th, 2017
On Tuesday, September 19th, we volunteered their time for Family Law Pro Bono Night at ASU. The Joel Shepard Family Law Assistance Program offered free legal information to individuals who could not afford it were there and met with multiple people to help them with their legal questions. We are so proud and happy that they spend their time helping those people in need of legal counsel. Great job guys!
2016 Sojourner’s Center Circle of Hope Holiday Program
Sojourner Center is one of the largest and longest-running domestic violence organizations in the country. Each year, Sojourner Center provides safety and support to nearly 10,000 women, children, men and pets. The organization offers emergency shelter, transitional housing, domestic violence education, safety planning, lay-legal advocacy, case management, a child development center, a 24-hour crisis hotline, referral services, community education and healthcare at an on-site clinic.
The Best Law Firm supported the 2016 Sojourner’s Center Circle of Hope Holiday Program by matching employee contributions. Randi Burggraff did the shopping and took the gifts to the Sojourner’s Center. With the help of generous donors from the community, each December we fill our Holiday Store with new gift items. Women and teens at Sojourner Center have the opportunity to earn “holiday bucks” during the weeks leading up to the Holiday Store. Once open, women and teens use their “holiday bucks” to buy holiday gifts for their families. Children also get to take part in the fun as each child selects one gift for their mom in our special Kids’ Store.

ChildFund International
Best Law Firm sponsors four children in Brazil, Honduras and Bolivia. They have sponsored Hugo, Carlos, Cendy, and Cidenia for the last four years. ChildFund International builds schools, teaches vocational skills, provides health care and establishes renewable sources of food and safe water throughout the world. They also provide emergency assistance to children who are victims of war and natural disaster and even create jobs and business opportunities to enable parents to better support their families.
